Corey Cornelius was convicted in April 2009 and sentenced in U.S. District Court on Wednesday to 210 months without parole.
The 31-year-old was among 28 Crips members indicted in September 2007 on Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, conspiracy charges.
Witnesses testified Cornelius operated a crack house in Wichita, where he sold crack cocaine and marijuana to fellow gang members. Prosecutors say the Crips used violence and threats to create an ongoing criminal drug trafficking enterprise.
Several other members of the gang have been sentenced on similar charges. Others are still awaiting sentencing.
