Fans can buy shares in the £2million biopic The Wee Man, which charts the early life of the notorious Glasgow gangland enforcer.
A minimum of £2000 will guarantee access to the set, private screenings and the film’s premiere.
And they could even appear as extras alongside leading cast members.
Hollywood actor James McAvoy is said to be among the preferred choices to play the young Ferris.
The film follows Ferris’s rise from Glasgow’s tough Blackhill estate to become one of the city’s most feared gangsters.
The script is based on his 2001 book The Ferris Conspiracy, which gives his account of the murders of Bobby Glover and Joe “Bananas” Hanlon, one of Scotland’s most infamous underworld hits.
It will be produced by Ray Burdis, who also made The Krays and Love, Honour And Obey, and is scheduled to begin shooting later this year.
Carnaby International, the London film company behind the venture, said they had been overwhelmed with interest from potential investors following a mailshot across Britain – including Glasgow.
The share offer is being run as part of the Government’s Enterprise Investment Scheme, which allows small, high-risk companies to raise finance by offering investors tax breaks.
Investors enjoy tax relief on their contributions and the possibility of profits if the film is a success.
Terry Loveday, of Carnaby International, said: “The Wee Man is a compelling story based on a bestselling autobiography.
“Paul Ferris has reinvented himself in the last nine years, and has talked extensively about his life as a criminal.”
